Kingdom of Comfort

Save me from this kingdom of comfort where the I’s reign supreme
we’ve robbed ourselves of so many things
by allowing ourselves to get so far in debt
That even our generations to come will feel its affect
In my heart I know its all materialism and momentary bliss
The temporary satisfaction is never worth all the unhappiness
It’s never worth the financial crisis that I suffer from the silent subliminal signals
to the loud cries of my heart for things I don’t need
to fill
a hole
I know
that goes
away
When God gives ME wealth and possessions, and allows ME to enjoy them
This is a gift in God and in this I AM blessed
Why NOT When God gives ME breath and no possessions, and allows ME to still enjoy
Can this be a gift in God and in this I AM blessed?
I can’t be oblivious to the fact that I could survive on much less
We have more, we need more, I have more, I need more
Here in lies the trap of insecurity
No matter how much I have, enough has become so obscure to me
We have fair warning to watch out for all kinds of greed
He gives us all that we need
Never will God leave us
Never will He forget us
Can we be content in our circumstances so much so
That not even this lands hardships can shake us
That not even the struggles to pay the bills can make us
leave God
Forget God
So let help me, help we, us leave fear, forget want and taste plenty in every breath
and every heartbeat.
Save me from this kingdom of comfort where I am king
and take me to the kingdom of comfort where the King is King.
